If you are reading this more than likely you’re familiar with the vExperts program, but just in case you’re not here is the description from the site:
“The annual VMware vExpert title is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to the community of VMware users over the past year. The title is awarded to individuals (not employers) for their commitment to sharing their knowledge and passion for VMware technology above and beyond their job requirements.”
I was included this year for my contributions to the New Mexico VMUG. I couldn’t have done what I did for the NM VMUG without the help of Paul McQuaid, Jon Harris and Scott Seifert. They are running the VMUG now that I work for a partner and are doing a better job of it than I ever did.
If you’re in New Mexico please attend the meetings, and if you already attend please give us some feedback (good, bad or ?)
Back to vExpert 2012, I’m so excited to be included in such an illustrious group. It has been great being involved so far and I’m looking forward to much more. One of my first thoughts when I realized I made it was “what I’m going to do to earn it again next year?” I’m hoping this blog is a part of whatever that is.
